At 19 years-old, Asha Suri is unsure which direction her life should go. Whilst her older sister Manju has just scored an internship at CompuHood, the largest tech giant in the world, she's slaving away as a cashier at her local supermarket. But one day, when her sister stopped answering her family's calls, Asha finds help in the form of a young hacker known as the "Chewing Gerbil" (his real name is Max). He introduces her to the virtual realm of "Cybergartha", the second layer of the internet, and his home turf of "Geo-City", the internet's last bastion of freedom against CORPONET, a hidden conspiracy of billionaires, with CompuHood's leader, Conrad Charles, at the centre of it all. From this day forward, Max and Asha join forces with the rest of the "Barlow Crew", as they push back against CORPONET's advances and reclaim the lost land, before CORPONET can consolidate power, to take over the rest of the net, and by extension, the world.
